Clean parts after the chuck
A steel part keeps some magnetism after it leaves a magnetic chuck. It then picks up swarf, sticks to gauges and can upset later machining. Alloy steels keep more than mild steel.
Switch the unit on and draw the part across the top plate. The magnetism is gone in a few seconds. The Maxx-Demag bench unit suits tool rooms and grinding shops. Larger plate units are built to order.
