Even hold on round work
Round and ring shaped parts can distort if they are gripped at points. A circular chuck holds the whole underside evenly, so thin rings keep their shape while they are ground or turned.
Grooved rings in the top plate help the operator centre the part quickly. Turn the T-key for a light hold, set the part, then turn to full hold. Used on rotary grinders, lathes and inspection tables. Made up to 600 mm diameter.
