A quick answer on contamination
Push the probe into the material and draw it out. Any iron in the batch is now on the sleeve. Slide the magnet core out of the sleeve and the iron drops onto a tray for inspection or weighing.
Used as a routine check on incoming material, and as a fast way to find which stage of a line is shedding metal. A clean probe after the final separator is useful evidence for an auditor.

- High strength: 8,000 to 9,000 gauss
- Super high strength: 9,500 to 11,000 gauss
- Extreme high strength: 12,000 to 13,500 gauss
- Magnet material: NdFeB grades N35 and N45; ferrite (3,000 gauss) and Ferrearth (5,000 gauss) versions available
- Tube: 304 stainless steel, fully welded and polished, watertight
- Standard diameter: 25.4 mm (1 inch); round, square and triangle sections; lengths to drawing
- Temperature limit: 100 deg C for rare earth rods
- Supplied with a tested certificate of magnetic strength
