Tramp iron out of a thick flow

A plate magnet over a conveyor pulls bolts, nuts, wire and tool pieces up out of the moving product. A deep field version is built for thick beds, where a standard plate would only reach the top layer.

The plate is cleaned by swinging it clear of the belt and wiping the face. There is nothing to drive and nothing to replace.

Steel belt support rollers under the magnet should be changed to non-magnetic ones so that they do not draw the field away. Plates are made to the belt width and bed depth.
