Iron out of the food, records for the audit

Metal is one of the most common causes of food recalls. It arrives with flour, sugar, grain and spices, and it comes off sieves, mills, mixers and pumps as they wear.

Our separators take it out at intake, after each stage that sheds metal, and before packing. All food contact parts are 304 stainless steel. Rods up to 13,500 gauss hold fine particles and work hardened stainless steel. Every unit comes with a tested certificate of magnetic strength, which is the document an auditor asks for.

Where the separators go

  • Grate or grid magnets in intake hoppers and under sieves
  • Housed easy clean grids on gravity lines and under silos
  • Drawer and bullet housings in enclosed transfer and pneumatic lines
  • Liquid traps in syrup, oil, sauce and chocolate pipelines
  • A high strength unit just before packing
  • A sampling probe for spot checks on sacks and bins
